Dr. Chen founded Supertech Consultants International (SCI) in 1987, specializing in the design and planning of structural systems for high-rise buildings, and developing computer-aided design software and applications. He applies seismic-resistant structural elements and systems to the structural design of various commercial buildings, enhancing the seismic resistance of the structural systems and increasing the visual appeal of the building's three-dimensional space and facade, as seen in landmark buildings such as the Kaohsiung Dream Mall, Hsinchu Big City Shopping Center (formerly WINDANCE Shopping Center), Taipei Breeze Center, and Taipei Miramar Mall. He combines structural mechanics with architectural aesthetics, integrating them into structural design to give buildings new life, particularly in the design of national public buildings, such as the completed Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei Municipal Stadium, Taipei Expo Dome, National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts Weiwuying and Taipei Dome. 

Dr. Chen has also served in the Department of Architecture, College of Design, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology for about six years, dedicating himself to teaching structural architecture and passing on the professional knowledge.
